Welcome to Betta Cam. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our mobile application, developed by Kerby Beronilla.
Account Information: To create an account and save your tracking data, we collect your email address and a secure password.
Camera Access: The application requires access to your device's camera (android.permission.CAMERA). This is strictly necessary for the core functionality of scanning and identifying different types of Betta fish using our on-device AI model.
Authentication & Data Sync: We use Supabase, a secure backend service provider, to handle your authentication. Your email is used strictly for account creation, secure login, and syncing your personal aquarium data across devices.
Image Processing: The camera feed is processed locally on your device to identify fish types. We do not upload, share, or store your live camera feed or photos on external servers without your explicit action.
Your email and account data are securely stored in our Supabase instance in accordance with industry-standard security and encryption protocols. We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.
We retain your personal information (such as your account details, feeding schedules, and Discover feed posts) only for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the Betta Cam services.
How to Request Data Deletion:
You have the right to request the complete deletion of your personal data at any time. To request data deletion, please send an email to beronillak11@gmail.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request" from the email address associated with your account.
Upon receiving your verifiable request, all your personal data—including your account credentials, uploaded media, and feeding history stored on our secure cloud servers—will be permanently and irreversibly erased within 30 days.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
